Competitive Indoor Soccer Leagues

If you're a soccer team looking for fast-paced, high-scoring indoor soccer action, then you won't have to look very far, as Columbus Event Center is home to indoor soccer leagues that do just that. Our competitive indoor soccer league is open to team registrations only, and is available to ages U6 on up. Adult competitive indoor soccer leagues are also available. We have also created recreational indoor soccer leagues for the individual player looking for a fun soccer experience.

Our competitive indoor soccer league is just that...competitive. It is meant to challenge the best teams in the area, and features exciting end-to-end action and high-scoring games. These aren't your typical indoor soccer leagues! The competitive division is open to team registrations only, with a maximum roster size of nine players per team. Teams must dress a minimum of four players each week to avoid a forfeit. Games are played 4v4 plus a goalie (five on the floor). Teams who have more than enough players are encouraged to form an additional team to increase the amount of playing time for all members of the team. It is up to the teams' coaches as to the amount of playing time awarded to each player. Unlike our recreational league, there are no requirements for equal playing time in our competitive indoor league, although our facility encourages coaches to be fair to all players.

Good sportsmanship is a requirement for all who participate. This includes the players, coaches, parents, and all other spectators. Our facility does not tolerate poor sportsmanship, swearing, fighting, or any other form of verbal or physical abuse between two or more individuals. Any such action will result in removal from the facility, suspension, or being removed from league play. Coaches, parents, and spectators may be restricted from entering the facility as well, if this restriction is deemed necessary for the safety of others and the enjoyment of the league by its participants.

Competitive league games will be played weekday evenings, although some games may be fit into Saturday afternoons. Saturday mornings and early afternoon is reserved for our recreational league, but if time allows, competitive games could be played immediately following our recreational league. We will work with all participating teams to determine a schedule that meets the needs and availabilities of all who are participating. We will offer competitive indoor soccer in two separate Fall and Winter leagues. Depending upon the number of teams who register, some age divisions may be restricted to only playing in either the Fall or Winter leagues, or teams may be allowed to participate in both. Teams must register by the deadline to be allowed in, and registrations are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. So, get your team registered today, so you don't miss out on all the fun!

Required Equipment and Team Uniforms

With our indoor soccer leagues, the only equipment you will need to provide is a pair of shoes, socks, and shinguards. That's it! Shoes can be indoor soccer shoes, tennis shoes, or any other full shoe that does not have cleats. No cleats are allowed in the indoor leagues. For the safety of our players, we request that each player carries their soccer shoes into the building, so as to prevent water from getting on the rink floor, which could cause dangerous playing conditions.

In our competitive division, teams are required to provide their own matching uniforms (T-shirts are fine). These uniforms must be numbered, with the player's number matching the roster provided during the registration process. Teams should also wear socks that match in color and/or style. Teams who do not meet this requirement may be forced to forfeit the game. Each team should also have an alternate color uniform available. In the event of a conflict in jersey color between two teams, the home team (listed first on the schedule) must change into their alternate uniforms. Socks must be long enough to cover the shinguards. All players must wear shinguards, or they will not be allowed to participate in games. Also, loose jewelry and earrings are not allowed to be worn during games, so please plan accordingly in advance.

More Information and How to Register

There will be separate recreational and competitive divisions available. Team registrations are accepted for our competitive division only, while individual players must join our recreational division. Age divisions will depend upon the number of registrations received, and some divisions may be combined or coed to ensure a division can be held. If enough players register, age divisions will be created as follows: U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and High School. Additional adult divisions will be held if enough interest exists. Under 6 division will be played as a coed division, while all other divisions are open to boys and girls.

Cost to register as a competitive team is just $250. Competitive team coaches must provide the rink a detailed team roster, and may be required to furnish player passes or birth certificate copies if so determined for proof of age.
