Indoor Soccer Leagues

Columbus Event Center hosts indoor soccer leagues every Fall and Winter. Our Fall indoor league begins in late October and runs through mid-December. Our Winter league, meanwhile, runs from mid-January through the end of February. Keep up on your skills during the Winter by joining an indoor league!

In order to ensure a competitive and fun environment for our players, we have created a recreational league and a separate competitive league, so that no matter what your skill level, we've got a league for you! Recreational league games are played on Saturdays and are for individual registrants only, while our competitive league may be worked into the week, and is for full team registrations only. Both leagues are open to players and teams ages 5 and older. Adult leagues will be formed if enough interest exists to do such a league.

Quick Look: Indoor Soccer Leagues

Our indoor soccer leagues are tons of fun! The action is fast-paced, and features end-to-end action with plenty of scoring. Games are played on our Sport Court flooring, and a low-bounce futsal ball is used. Games consist of two 24-minute halves with a two-minute halftime break, and warmup time before each game.

Players are allowed to substitute "on the fly," which means that coaches do not have to wait for a stoppage to make substitutions. This can happen while play is going on out on the floor. The ball is almost always in play, as our state-of-the-art hockey boards keep the ball in play and the action going.

Recreational league teams are assembled using previous season's statistics, and a questionnaire during the registration process. These items help our staff create teams that are as balanced and equal as possible, further adding to the excitement and fun of our leagues. In instances of mixed coed or combined age divisions, teams are also created with an equal number of each age on each team.

Games are played 4v4 plus a goalkeeper, meaning there are five total players per team on the floor at any given point in time. Teams will be created to ensure that each team will have an adequate number of substitutes. The number of teams per age division will depend largely on the number of registrations received. Recreational players and competitive teams must register by the deadline to be accepted into the league. In the event of a league filling up, players (and teams) will be able to join a waiting list, in the event registered players drop out or fail to pay their league dues by the deadline. These players and teams will be contacted if an opening becomes available. We recommend registering as soon as possible to ensure a spot in our leagues.

More Information and How to Register

There will be separate recreational and competitive divisions available. Team registrations are accepted for our competitive division only, while individual players must join our recreational division. Age divisions will depend upon the number of registrations received, and some divisions may be combined or coed to ensure a division can be held. If enough players register, age divisions will be created as follows: U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and High School. Additional adult divisions will be held if enough interest exists. Under 6 division will be played as a coed division, while all other divisions are open to boys and girls.

Cost to register as a recreational player is just $25. All players will be provided a jersey to use throughout the duration of the league season. This jersey must be returned at the conclusion of the league season to avoid replacement charges. In the future, an additional deposit may be required at the beginning of the season for the use of the jersey. This deposit would be minimal, and will be returned in full at the conclusion of the season once the team uniform is returned to the rink without damage (excludes normal wear and tear).

Competitive teams may join a separate competitive division, using the same age divisions listed above, for just $250 per team. Teams are responsible for providing their own uniforms, which must be identical and individually numbered. Competitive coaches must provide the rink a detailed team roster, and may be required to furnish player passes or birth certificate copies if so determined for proof of age.
