YOUTH INDOOR SOCCER LEAGUES 2008
The Columbus Hockey and Skate Center is now accepting registrations for our first indoor soccer league! Each year, we will host an indoor soccer league every Saturday during the months of December through February. The season will be at least ten weeks in length. (Competitive leagues may be played during the week as well, depending upon the number of entries)
We will be forming leagues for recreational players, as well as competitive teams. For more information on these different league divisions, click the appropriate links just above, or at left under our 'Indoor Soccer Links' section.
Registration deadline for the 2008 season is Saturday, October 18th! Recreational players may register by using our online registration form, by printing a copy of our registration form, picking up a registration form at the rink, or by calling (402) 562-5663. Registration forms must be in by October 18th, 2008 to be included in the league.
We are looking to host a recreational indoor soccer league for youth, although a separate competitive league may also be formed if enough interest. Age divisions will be determined by the number of entries received, and some divisions may be combined in order to hold the league. Separate boys and girls divisions will be held when possible, or the league may be combined coed if necessary to hold a division.
Games are two, 24-minute halves with a three minute halftime and team warmup prior to the game. Games are played 4v4 plus a goalie (5 players on the floor). The season will be ten weeks in lenght with playoffs at the end of the regular season. Tentative start date is set for Saturday, November 1st, but may be moved back if necessary to ensure enough registrations are received.
Because this is our first year of indoor soccer leagues, we will hold all checks until we know that a league will in fact take place. For those who register by paying cash, you will receive a full refund if we are unable to form a division for you or your team.
