So, unfortunately, we began the season with a forfeit game. The Chili Peppers only had two of their seven players show up for the game, resulting in a loss for the red squad. However, we did play the game out for those who did attend so that everyone who showed up still got to play some soccer.
Presently, the game is recorded as a 1-0 win for Mean Green. In the event of a tiebreaker at the end of the season, a separate calculation will be used to determine rankings. It would be unfair to only credit the Mean Green with one goal because of this forfeit, when most teams generally score plenty more than a goal per game. Players who were in attendance were given credit for goals scored in this non-game.

| Mean Green | 0 | 0 | 1 | Kaitlyn Bargmann (1), Devyn Glenn (1) |
| Chili Peppers | 0 | 0 | 0 | Jesus Adame (5), Evelyn Adame (2), Erik Brown (1) |
Luckily, a third player did arrive in time for the second game of the day for the Chili Peppers, so this one counted. Their opponent for the second game of the day was the Stingers. Over the course of the first half, the two teams battled back and forth, with the Stingers slowly building toward a 5-3 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Chili Peppers fought back, outscoring the Stingers 7-5. Despite their best efforts with time running out, neither team was able to break through for the winning goal, and this one ended in a 10-10 draw.

Next, we moved into our Under 11 age division, with a matchup between the Blue Dragons and the Red Razors. This game was pretty much all Dragons, who shutout the Razors in the first half, 3-0. In the second half, the Razors cut the deficit to just two, but weren't able to rally beyond that. At the final whistle, the Blue Dragons had won the game, 7-1.

Our final U11 game of the day was an exciting one, with the Silver Strikers playing host to the Shadows. The Shadows began with a quick goal to start the game, then fell behind 2-1 midway through the first. But, the Shadows were able to tie the game just a minute later. Without any more goals in the first half, the two teams found themselves deadlocked at 2-2 at the break.
In the second half, the Strikers scored two quick goals to retake the lead. The two teams then traded goals, with the Shadows narrowing the lead to one, only to watch it go back to a two goal deficit just minutes later. With time running out, the Shadows pulled to within one, but a late insurance goal from the Strikers secured a 6-4 win over the Shadows.

Then we moved on to our Under 8 age division matchups, with the first game between the Red Strikers and the Green Pythons. This game was pretty close in the first half, with the Green Pythons scoring the first three goals to take a 3-0 lead. But, late in the first half, the Strikers responded to make it 3-1 at the half.
In the second half, the Pythons took control of the game, scoring five unanswered goals to open up a comfortable 8-1 lead in this one. A pair of quick goals, however, had the Strikers rallying late in the game. But, time wasn't on their side, as the Pythons would add one more goal before time ran out, en route to a 9-3 win over the Strikers.
| GAME SUMMARY | 1ST | 2ND | FINAL | GOAL SCORERS |

The Red Strikers were then back for their second game of the day, this time against the Smurfs. There was plenty of scoring to go around in the first half, with the game all tied up at 4-4 midway through the first. But, two goals in the 16th minute put the Smurfs on top, 8-6 at the break.
In the second half, the Smurfs continued to have success on offense, scoring five more goals to finish the game. The Strikers, meanwhile, struggled to create many chances, and were shut out in the second, giving the Smurfs an 11-4 win to start their season.

| Smurfs | 6 | 5 | 11 | Jorge Tovar (5), Jair Tovar (2), [SUB]-Alan Adame (3), [SUB]-Carlos Vazquez (1) |

Our Under 6 division was also the victim of the Spring Break weekend, with just under half of the kids attending the first week of games. So, without enough kids available for an actual game, the kids were allowed to shoot around and practice.
