Fall league info coming soon. Begins Oct/Nov 2013.

Columbus Event Center hosts indoor soccer leagues from October through April each year. Our Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons are open to boys and girls ages 5 and up. For our 2012-2013 season, age is determined as of July 31, 2013.

Registrations are currently being accepted for our indoor soccer leagues. The cost to participate in our indoor soccer leagues is $40/player for ages 7 and older, and just $25/player for our Under 6 division. Registrations will be accepted at the Event Center during business hours, by phone (leave a message outside of business hours), or online at any time. Watch for special league registration nights where Event Center staff members can assist with your registration, and be on hand to answer your questions in person.

Starting with our 2012-2013 league seasons, there will no longer be an additional deposit of $10 required for use of our jerseys for any sport.  We appreciate your assistance with the return of our jerseys by the end of each season.  Complete league and registration details are available below:

  • Detailed stats and game recaps are posted on our website.

Age Divisions

Our leagues are open to boys and girls ages 5 and older, including adults. Age is determined as of July 31, 2013 for the 2012-2013 league season. Age divisions will be determined based upon the number of entries. Our Under 6 division is coed, while older age divisions should have separate boys and girls divisions.

Game Details

Game length is determined by age division. The youngest divisions (U6) will play four, 5-minute quarters, while our oldest age divisions will play two 24-minute halves. Games are played 4v4 plus a keeper (five on the floor per team) max. Substitutions are unlimited and can be done on the fly (during play). Because of our dasher boards, glass, and protective netting, the ball is nearly always in play.

Season Schedule

It is our goal to schedule as many divisions and games as possible for Saturdays. However, because we currently have only one court to play on, and in the event of a large number of participants, we may have some age divisions play on alternate days. Because of other events and activities already planned at the Event Center, alternate soccer days will be limited to Thursday evenings or possibly Sundays. Again, these alternate dates would only be used in the event of a full league, and would likely affect the older age divisions only. In the event every age division reaches maximum capacity, different age divisions may be limited to participating in certain seasons. In any event, parents and players would be contacted about any possible adjustments away from Saturday games, and refunds issued to those who would no longer be able to participate if the game dates were switched away from Saturdays.

Team Practices

Because our facility has just one surface for events and activities, and in order to ensure our facility continues to offer a wide range of different events and activities for our guests, we are unable to offer any time for league practices. If we had the facilities available to do so, the cost of the registration fees would be greater due to the additional cost for use of the indoor facility. For these reasons, our indoor soccer league teams do not practice outside of their scheduled league games. Additional practice, clinics, or soccer camps are offered in Columbus, and we would be happy to assist you in finding one if you wish. Or, if enough parents and players are interested, the Event Center could host an additional practice session or clinic separate of our existing leagues.

Required Equipment

Players are required to wear shoes without any cleats (tennis shoes are fine). It is recommended that players wear a different pair of shoes into the facility (carry the shoes they will wear to play soccer), as wet shoes can be slippery and dangerous on the court. Players are also required to wear shinguards, which must be covered by a pair of socks or pants. Soccer socks can be of any color. As for jerseys...

Soccer Jersey Check-Out

Soccer jerseys are provided by Columbus Event Center for use during the soccer season (ages 7 and older). These jerseys are property of the Event Center, and must be cared for while checked out, and returned to the Event Center upon completion of the soccer season. Starting with our 2012-2013 seasons, there will not be an additional $10 deposit charge for use of the jerseys.  Instead, players will be required to return their soccer jersey to the rink by close of business on the final day of their respective league season.  Players who fail to return their jersey by the deadline will be billed for a replacement jersey.  Because there are as little as two weeks between seasons, we must order replacements immediately to ensure we have enough for each player in the upcoming season.  Your help on this matter is greatly appreciated.  Our Under 6 division does not utilize jerseys, and regular T-shirts (or whatever is comfortable) are encouraged.

How Do I Register?

Players can be registered online through our website using our online registration system. Simply select the appropriate item from our online store, type in the total number of individual seasons in the circle directly left of the 'Add to Cart' button (details instructions and examples are provided on each product page), and then add the item to your cart to proceed.  When you begin the checkout process, you will be asked to log in or register for an online account.  This account will give you access to additional website features, order history, payment status, and more.  Once logged in or registered, you will be directed to the online registration form(s) based upon your selection.  Simply complete the form and then complete the online checkout process once redirected back to your cart.  Again, complete and detailed instructions, along with examples, are included on each product page.  Or, if you have trouble, don't hesitate to contact us for assistance or to complete the registration over the phone.

Our online registration system will allow you to easily register up to three children at once on a single form. And yes, our online registration system will also allow you to register any child(ren) for multiple seasons on a single form. Why keep doing paperwork over and over again?  You will receive an invoice about your purchase via email, as well as your own copy of the completed registration form(s) in a separate email.  New this year, we have added language to our Terms & Conditions to allow electronic signatures.  So, once registered online, you're all set!

Of course, you can also register by downloading a registration form from our website, or by picking one up at the rink. We can also mail one to you if you would like, along with other helpful information about our leagues. Or, we can also take registrations over the phone in just a few short minutes. Registration fees must be paid by the deadline to be included, and late registrants will be placed on a waiting list. Columbus Event Center can accept cash, checks, and credit cards for payment of all registration fees.

I've Registered. Now What?

First of all, thank you for taking part in these great leagues. We appreciate your support, and look forward to getting out on the court for some soccer! We have created deadlines for our leagues that are approximately one month before the start of the season. This allows us a couple of weeks to sort out players, create age divisions and teams, and put together information for our participants and their parents. Parents and players should be contacted two weeks before the scheduled start date of any league. If, for some reason, you do not hear from us, or do not receive information about the start of the season, please do not hesitate to contact us immediately at (402)562-5663. The rink owners can also be reached via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
